I was always pro solar, I even worked at a place in Maryland in the 80's, The Energy Store, that sold air-tight wood stoves, solar panels and photovoltaics, and wind generators. I just was not convinced solar was right for me at this time in my current situation. Not having to come up with out of pocket expenses right now was a big issue for me, since I just moved from another state after buying a new house here. I was not prepared to incur more immediate expenses. My utility bill is not very high. I have a "green" built home. I also have lived conservatively for many years when it comes to utilities, and I live alone.
